In our café and the farm shop you will find oblong-shaped postcards on which one can guess with a cross the correct number of the roses in Sammatz. Take part and win a hamper or a plant photograph. Good luck!

What a colour explosion!
Anyone visiting our dahlia garden in the near future will be able to admire the shapes and colours of the different species whose tubers are replaced each spring. At the moment they are in their most beautiful phase of flowering; a visit to the right of our ‘Arena’ is worthwhile!

From 30.08. until 01.09. We will be honoured to welcome Radomir Jakubowski, a leader in the field of nature photography, as a tutor of a three-day intensive photo workshop in the House of Nature.
There are still a few places left! So, reserve your place for the workshop and experience a whole weekend of theoretical and practical tuition on the subject of ‘Creative Plant Photography’.
That hasn’t happened yet: last week, four calves were born in our stables within 24 hours! Two girls, two boys – all in good health, incredibly cute and today exactly one week old. Welcome to Sammatz!
The calves belong to the old breed called ‘Angler Rind’, which was native to our region, but is now threatened by extinction. The Arche-Hof farm at Michaelshof Sammatz focuses on keeping old domestic breeds.
In the calf stable, next to the farm shop, the new ‘kindergarten’ can also be visited by guests of any age.
