The Online Shop has been launched!

Hello dearest,
our online store has been up and running for a week – have you seen the first volunteer promo video about it? Lots of movie stars – don't they look good? Many thanks to Klara and her team for the cool video – the next one is already in the pipeline.
Unfortunately you can only order within Germany so far. But you could really help us by doing three things:

If you are in Germany, use the store or show it to other people.
Send the link to the store to all people in Germany you know.
Share the video with as many people as possible - one day they will be able to buy a piece of Sammatz cheese or a loaf of the yummy bread ;-)

The online store team is of course a mix of Sammatzians and volunteers, from PR to packaging. (Would you have thought that Leif is right at the front of the team? 😊 It's really fun ;-)

Now we have to boost the turnover! Anyway, we hope for many customers and will be busy packing boxes.

You know we are happy with every helping hand, and Sammatz is a place to learn a lot of things you didn't know before. However if you have a professional training or substantial work experience in one of the following jobs don't hesitate to contact us.

Voluntu-Who?

No summer without Irene from Spain. Since 2017, the law and business student has been visiting for a few weeks every year, preferably with one or two friends in tow. She's highly appreciated everywhere for her resolute manner and she's simply 'part of the family'. This year you can meet her particularly often in the café. And then she joined the lively PR team of the online store launch –

we hear she really likes it there. Why does she keep coming back? "Well ... because of the people. And because you can learn so much here. In the café, the dairy, everywhere. I have my friends here. I have to visit them.»

What's that over there?

Summer's slowly turnig into autumn 'round here! This is one of the first guests in the pupae's wintering station of our biologist Sara. The pupa of a butterfly on a parsley stalk, lovingly picked up in the garden. If all goes well, next year, after a quiet winter, a beautiful swallowtail will emerge on the outside wall of our laboratory!
You know we have Sara as an entomologist here and Finn, the birding man, both from Germany.

Then of course Denisse, biologist from Costa Rica, and now also Chiara, a biologist from Spain for half a year. (Hi to Julia in Leiden!)
We have an incredible Whatsapp group on nature findings, and we're all learning a lot from it every day.
