Even from afar, the colourful heads wave over in yellow, red, white, purple and many variations in between. They are real eye-catcher until late Autumn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flowers radiate cheerfulness and turn out to be artists of colour and form: Decorative, Pompon, cactus, ruff, orchid style \u2013 the petals can be narrow, round or rolled up. Sometimes they are just of one colour, sometimes with speckles, stripes \u2013 everything from small to large flowers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here you will find a total of 14 beds arranged differently: low and high dahlias put the spectator in a good mood when their thick flower heads stare at you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are not demanding for the ground but as soon as they are larger and in bloom, they need attention and care: The fleshy stems need support, the lush inflorescences must to be thinned, so that the rest are even stronger and bloom even bigger. Especially after a rain, going through the partially hanging, faded heads is recommended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dahlias originating from Mexico could produce more and more flowers at year-round warm temperatures, but unfortunately the splendour does not survive the first frost. Those that are suddenly colourless need to be trimmed, dug up and brought inside. It is advisable to label each one so you know what sort they are. Then they are kept dark and cool in boxes over the winter and are to be rearranged and replanted in the spring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\nSome dahlias are very good for flower bouquets. If you are lucky, you will find a bouquet in the store in autumn. But remember it\u2019s best to put these flowers in warm water to ensure that the joy lasts longer in your apartment!\n\n<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
