Turning the everyday into Sunday
A colorful bunch of lovable, highly original children and youths …
34 children and youths, living in six group homes scattered across our village in close connection with everyday life here – this is Peronnik, our residential care for young people.
We accept both children and youths with mental disabilities, like for instance autism, and with emotional and behavioral disorders.
That’s what it’s called in technical language – when you get to know ‹the Peronniks› you’ll meet a colourful bunch of loveable, highly original children and youths, withouth whom Sammatz wouldn’t be complete at all. They live with us, leave for school in the mornings (most of the time), populate the village road in the afternoons and have their ice creams on Sundays in the café (all of the time).

For them Sammatz is safe and secure grounds
– a place for positive impressions and experiences they can take with them into their future lives. Yes, it’s not least for the Peronnik-kids that the compound of Michaelshof has such a beautiful and rich design …
By the way, Peronnik is an old fairy tale, where a seemingly intellectually disadvantaged boy of the same name turns out to be capable of doing better than any other and vanquishes the evil sorcerer in the end. We thought this fits them well …
