What a colour explosion!
Anyone visiting our dahlia garden in the near future will be able to admire the shapes and colours of the different species whose tubers are replaced each spring. At the moment they are in their most beautiful phase of flowering; a visit to the right of our ‘Arena’ is worthwhile!
the blue hour of romanticism
On 07.09. we want to conclude the concert year 2019 with a very special concert at the Waldsee. Sophie Heinrich on the violin and Paul Rivinius on the piano will enchant us on an unforgettable romantic duo evening with works by Clara and Robert Schumann, Brahms and Liszt.

“Atelier Nature” – Creative nature photography
From 30.08. until 01.09.We will be honoured to welcome Radomir Jakubowski, a leader in the field of nature photography, as a tutor of a three-day intensive photo workshop in the House of Nature.
There are still a few places left! So, reserve your place for the workshop and experience a whole weekend of theoretical and practical tuition on the subject of ‘Creative Plant Photography’.

House of Nature and Youth Hostel
Two new big buildings – the yellow house (officially named the House of Nature) and the blue house (our Youth Hostel) – blend harmoniously into the landscape. At the House of Nature the events program begins at the end of March with a variety of seminars on the subject of nature. Programs can be found in the café and shop, as well as on our new website. We would be pleased if many visitors attend the courses held by interesting foreign and local lecturers.
The blue house is our Youth Hostel for volunteers from all over the world, as well as for students and interns who want to work and study with us for a while. There is always a lively international life, where young people from all over the world meet.
Both houses are closed to the public. Naturally, the House of Nature is open to all participants of the courses. In summer, the life of the two houses certainly extends through the whole campus garden!
Kunterbunt Playground
We have just renovated our playground in the late autumn; it is designed in a colourful way, just as the name suggests. A number of new toys, from the big railroad to the high slide and much more, are sure to bring joy to the hearts of all children. You often hear cheers of delight from the playground. In spring, everything will be completely finished. We’re still missing the small animal enclosure just behind the entrance. Guinea pigs, hamsters and others should soon be having a good time there. The happiness is certainly contagious for the hearts of all children.
