Eichenhof and House of Nature
The work at the Eichenhof and in the Haus der Natur is in many respects in the status of
Image-creating methods
At the Eichenhof we cultivate and process herbs for teas, oils, ointments, etc with the investigation of homeopathic processes, questioning how their mode of action can be made visible by studying the qualities of food, medicine, soil and fertiliser.
In relation to the latter tasks, we apply different methods that have been used for decades. For example, the rising picture method according to Lily Kolisko, the copper chloride biocrystallization of E. Pfeiffer, the thesigraphy according to Friedrich von Hahn or the experimental arrangements for drop picture method and plant growth according to Georg F. Maag. The process of learning these quality surveys, collectively referred to as ‘image-creating methods’, is a continuous process that we have started several years ago and will take more time to produce relevant results.
A small team of employees works on these issues, which take precedence during the winter months. This work has always been overshadowed in the summer by the necessities of gardening.

Herbs and teas
The aforementioned herb and tea area is already running at full speed. We have carried out our own cultivation of sage, mint, lemon balm, golden nettle, lavender and much more for years according to bio-dynamic guidelines. Their quality is ensured by further processing in a self-built drying plant, making the pleasant warmth of the wood stove come into effect so that that the aroma of the plants fill the room. The herbs are then carefully shredded, cut and packaged for sale using environmentally friendly materials. Since we are not yet able to meet all of the needs ourselves, we also source some herbs from elsewhere, all of course from organic or bio-dynamic cultivation. The production of oils, ointments and cosmetics is still in the trial period. We hope that these products will go on sale later in the year.
Therapeutic centre in planning
Another area we are already planning is a small therapeutic centre. We predict we will be able to do it in 2 years. It should include not only a doctor’s office but also offer physiotherapy, massage, bathing and artistic therapy (painting, eurythmy therapy, music therapy, etc.)
Workshops in the House of Nature
In March 2019, intensive workshops and lectures on the topic of nature begin in our Haus der Natur, accompanied by various exhibitions (see here). The house was opened in December 2018 and provides several rooms to offer year-round courses in areas as diverse as medicinal plant cultivation, fruit tree trimming, soil quality and agriculture, the nature of the four elements, the question of stellar effects on earth and man and much more. In 2019, the focus will be on the topic of insects, which is currently on the agenda, as a dramatic decline in the diversity and abundance of species has been observed.

fruit tree cutting,
soil quality,
the four elements …
Last but not least, in this house as well as in the beautiful nature of the immediate surroundings, courses for the training of adventure educators will take place. Collaboration with the <EOS> initiative (see here), which offers a wide range of courses, will begin this year.
Adventure space for people and nature
We offer a wide-ranging experience space for all people who are interested in the diverse manifestations of nature: for young and old, novice and experienced nature lovers, in short, for the wide range of people who want to contribute through knowledge and activity to preserve nature and perhaps even bring out its essence through the human hand…
You see: there are very diverse offers and work taking place in the Eichenhof and in the Haus der Natur. Some things are, as I said, in the planning stage whereas others are just beginning and various activities have been maintained for several years. Research and Healing is an exciting area that fruitfully complements the other fields of work of Michaelshof.
