House of Nature
The construction of the House of Nature and the seminar program are both co-financed by:
NBank – European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) – Guideline on the provision of grants in order to promote experiences in nature and sustainable development.
Our environmental education places emphasis on experiencing and exploring nature with all of our senses. This means that one’s own experiences and perceptions form the basis for developing a sense of responsibility for one’s own actions and interaction with the environment and its resources in a sustainable manner in everyday life.
Events until further notice still cancelled – provisional bookings possible. — It depends on the future regulations issued by the government of Lower Saxony whether seminars and other events can take place again. We will promptly inform you of any changes and will then tell you how we shall proceed with our seminars in the House of Nature, our experience days at Michaelshof and the concerts at the Waldsee.
Important: You’re welcome to book any future event. We will treat your booking as provisional. In case the event will not take place your payment will be returned immediately.

Welcome to the House of Nature – let’s do something together!
Since March 2019, the House of Nature has served as our hub for educational encounters with nature in the broadest sense. About 20 seminars per year deal with exciting questions of biology and ecology, agriculture and the experience of nature. From a practical apple seminar to a botanical identification course, from biodynamic agriculture to an introduction to astronomy, there is something to satisfy all interests – the seminars are also often appropriate for the whole family.
Our current event program will soon be available, both online on this website and as an information booklet.
Experience Days
In 2020 we want to experiment with a new form of event together with you: event days on which encounters, knowledge and hopefully inspiration should materialise ‘in the midst of life’. On Saturdays and Sundays we will open a diverse experience space revolving around a particular topic. These topics will range from the fascinating animals on our farm and the flora in and around Sammatz to dance, music, photography and light, as well as social issues; for example the gesture of giving and its various meanings.
Soon there will also be a colourful program to get you in the mood for the experience days, available both as a booklet and here on the webpage. Let’s see what happens!
Garden Days
Gardens are also a piece of nature – but a very special one! We garden enthusiasts invite like-minded and interested people to various events about our favourites; the flowers, shrubs and bushes of the gardens. You will also see more on this page soon!
